MONEYDANCE 2017 REVEW UPDATE
Stuart Beesley, a Moneydance user and contributor to the support forum, has written a python script that allows you to update your Moneydance dataset with the correct OFX connection settings that USAA requires. We are working to resolve this, but I’m afraid the connection is not working correctly at this time. Unfortunately, USAA have recently made a change that seems to have disabled direct OFX connections, which Moneydance and other software requires to directly communicate with their servers. If you have a Moneydance 2023 license key, the cost to use Moneydance+ is $4/monthly (or $40/annually), and there is a 30-day free trial so you can fully test downloading from your bank before you're charged. The steps for setting up this service are outlined here. You can read more about Moneydance+ in this blog post. This is the new (optional) subscription service that allows you to download transactions automatically from your banks using the Plaid aggregator.

The steps for importing CSV files are outlined here.Īlternatively, if you're using Moneydance 2022 or 2023 you can subscribe to Moneydance+. USAA only allows downloads using the CSV file format. The best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download files from your bank's website. Without Direct Connect, you are still able to easily import your data into the program for free. As of June/July 2023, USAA has removed their support for OFX Direct Connect, which is required for you to download your transactions automatically for free.
